‘Rewilding is possible and a good strategy for conservation when a wild big cat population is too low to recover without help. We have successfully trained and released two tigresses that were orphaned as 2 week old cubs. These tigresses were hand reared, taught to hunt and at the age of three years released in a Tiger reserve. Both survived and bred successfully’.

Thank you for visiting our home page for The Last Lions. Our project is a Scientist Supported rewilding program in Kenya where we are planning to introduce captive bred and orphaned lion cubs into the wild, following an intensive rewilding process.
